GABRIEL AGBONLAHOR SET TO LEAVE RELEGATED ASTON VILLA

Relegated English Premier League team after the 2015/2016 season, Aston villa, are finally seriously discussing shedding their legend, Gabriel Agbonlahor.

The club is reported to be considering a move to Middle East Club this summer. The Telegraph reports that the centre forward that has been with The Villans for over a decade will be pushed out at the season’s end.

The striker has had a very poor run in recent season and has only scored once in 18 appearances this season. The club are keen to remove him from the wage bill as they prepare for life in the Championship. Agbonlahor used to be worshipped by the Villa Park faithful but he has enraged supporters this season with his off-field antics with The Villans are currently investigating the 29-year-old’s conduct after he was pictured with laughing gas canisters on the night they were officially relegated. Villa has had a very disappointing season earning just 16 points from 35 games played so far. The team also has an unparalleled -44 in goals difference.

Aston Villa have already suspended him once this campaign and it appears everyone associated with the club have grown hugely frustrated with their former hero. However, Agbonlahor has been offered a lucrative escape route as an unnamed club from the Middle East have inquired about his services. After making just under 400 appearances and scoring 84 goals in the process, it seems increasingly likely that the flop will sever ties with his boyhood club this summer.

The striker missed a lot of games this season due to injuries to the calf and a special leave making him not contribute anything this season. The Villans have lost their last seven games; from the 4-0 thumping from Manchester City to another 2-0 defeat from The Spurs, then losses to Swansea City, Chelsea, Bournemouth, Manchester United and even Southampton.
