Gabriel Agbonlahor is expected to be on his way out of Aston Villa in this winter transfer window as the 29 year old English striker appears to be deadweight in the Premier League club.
Agbonlahor has been trying to get back in form after having sustained a calf injury which kept him out of the main team of Aston Villa for a significantly long period of time but even though he is recovered; his time on the pitch is almost non-existent.
Aston Villa is currently located in the bottom spots of the Premier League and the manager of the club is trying to offload some of his players who do not play any important role in the team and Gabriel Agbonlahor is one of them.
The winter transfer window has opened up and Aston Villa is believed to be listening to offers for the 29 year old player who is going through a 9 month goal drought as the attacker is struggling trying to find the back of the net as well as getting playing time in the main team of the squad.
Agbonlahor has a contract with Aston Villa which extends for 2 more years but it seems like his time in the team might be reaching it’s end sooner than initially expected. This will depend if the manager is indeed ready to let the 29 year old player leave and if the club receives tempting offers for the struggling performer.
Remi Garde is the coach of Aston Villa and he can’t risk putting his faith in players who simply haven’t been delivering in the big stage and with the current position of the club, dropping more points is very costly as they will not be able to escape the bottom relegation zone.
