PREMIER LEAGUE: AGBONLAHOR CRITICISES LEEDS SUPPORTERS

Former Premier League striker Gabriel Agbonlahor has criticised the Leeds United fans for cheering their team while they are been battered by teams in the English top flight. Gabriel Agbonlahor ripped into the Leeds United support while he was doing his punditry job on TalkSPORT as he said that he would be worried as a fan if his team are being beaten convincingly just like what’s obtainable with the Whites at the moment. According to Gabriel Agbonlahor, Leeds United are at the risk of dropping down from the Premier League to the English Championship at the end of this season.

Agbonlahor was disappointed with the Leeds United supporters for the way they were clapping and cheering their team while they were battered in their last league game at home to North London club Arsenal. The Whites were on the end of a 4-1 defeat at the hands of the Gunners who raced into a three-goal lead at the end of the first 45 minutes thanks to the goals from Brazilian attacker Gabriel Martinelli (two goals) and Bukayo Saka. Leeds United pulled one back from the spot through Brazilian international Raphinha in the second half after Ben White committed a foul in the box before Arsenal substitute Emile Smith-Rowe sealed the win for the North Londoners during the league game played at Elland Road on Saturday night.

Four days earlier, Leeds United were hit for seven by Premier League holders Manchester City when the two teams met for the first time in the league this season. Phil Foden, Jack Grealish and Belgian midfielder Kevin De Bruyne scored for Manchester City in the first half of the game before further goals from De Bruyne, RiyadMahrez, substitute Nathan Ake and John Stones in the second half sealed the win for the Citizens.
