Ex-Aston Villa striker Gabriel Agbonlahor is not sure that Jack Grealish will want to leave Aston Villa for Arsenalin the summer. Gabriel Agbonlahor spoke about Aston Villa skipper Jack Grealish and the rumours linking him with North London giants Arsenal on TalkSports earlier this week. Arsenal are the latest club to be linked with a move for Jack Grealish, who’s having a very good season for his boyhood club.
Gabriel Agbonlahor questioned the transfer links involving Arsenal and Jack Grealish before adding that the player will struggle to pick Arsenal ahead of the other interested teams if there’s a scramble for his signature. At the age of 24, Jack Grealish has the world at his feet as he has been one of the best playmakers in the Premier League this term.
Arsenal don’t normally splash the cash like other big teams such as Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea but the club was still able to spend £72m on Nicholas Pepe. The Gunners made the Ivorian player the most expensive in their history. Gabriel Agbonlahor questioned if Arsenal have the cash to pull off a deal for Jack Grealish. The former Aston Villa player says that players are no longer intrigued by a move to Arsenal as the Gunners are no longer a top team due to their performances.
Jack Grealish has been in exceptional form for Aston Villa this season. He has six goals and eight assists in 18 games for Villa in the Premier League this term. He scored his sixth goal of the current Premier League season last night during the away clash with Burnley but his goal was not enough as Aston Villa were beaten 3-2 by Clarets despite taking the lead twice. Ollie Watkins was the other goalscorer for Aston Villa, while Ben Mee, Dwight McNeil and Chris Wood scored for the hosts.
