Agbonlahor does not want to retire

Former Aston Villa striker Gabriel Agbonlahor said that he does not want to retire at the moment and that he wants to continue to play. Aged currently 32, he believes that he is fit enough to play at the highest level and wants to continue his career for as long as he can.

He has revealed that he has had a couple of offers from second-tier England clubs as well as teams in Scotland but so far he had not made any decision.

Gabriel Agbonlahor has spent all his career at Aston Villa and said that it will be impossible for him to play for another club than Aston Villa in the Championship. The forward has struggled for playing time with Aston Villa in the last two seasons before being finally released by the club.

He admitted that his form has suffered due to multiple injuries but he really wanted to help the team out. He said that he has even offered to play for free for the team. He said that he was aware that the team was experiencing financial issues and this is why he has offered to help the team out without taking any compensation.

Gabriel Agbonlahor said that he has spent all his career at Aston Villa and that it is very hard for him to leave the club. He said that he has had offered from different teams in England as well as abroad and that he will give himself some time to think before choosing his next destination.

He said that he has a young family at the moment and that he does not want to disrupt them by taking a job abroad. At the moment he wants to work on his fitness and make sure that he is ready for his next assignment.
